Gift Receipts

Never ever ever ever (did I mention ever?) give a gift with no receipt! I mean why would you? Are you in the posession of knowledge that none of us other gift givers have, that there is a 100% chance that the toy will work, or the clothes will fit? Even if a particular person asked you to get a gift, are they not allowed to change their mind? Just so you know, if you do not provide a gift receipt, the “regift” bells automatically go off in the head.  Now no body wants to be labeled as a re-gifter, do they?  On the regift subject, one quick note, only acceptable if someone walks in your house, looks at your unopened gifts and says to you “i would really like you to give that to me for my next birthday etc”. I know i am being harsh, but I can’t tell you how many people i have heard complain about these very subjects. I can think of just a couple to exceptions to my rule. No receipt is needed if you buy tickets to an event, a gift card or of course non is needed if you send a gift basket!
